Holiday Inn Express & Suites Opelika Auburn, an IHG Hotel

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Opelika was truly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this property operates on a level of excellence that many companies could learn from. The staff didn’t just feel like coworkers, they worked together like a family, and that warmth radiated throughout every interaction. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Every team member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. A huge appreciation goes to Ms. Carol at the Front Desk, whose professionalism and kindness set the tone for my entire stay. Tara in Food & Beverage delivered outstanding service with genuine care, making each meal feel special. And of course, recognition must be given to Shalisha, the leader who clearly sets the standard for this remarkable team. Her leadership is reflected in the positive energy, teamwork, and pride shown by every staff member. This hotel doesn’t just provide a place to stay, it delivers an experience rooted in hospitality, respect, and true dedication to guest satisfaction. I cannot recommend Holiday Inn Opelika enough, and I look forward to returning. Exceptional job to the entire team!

This is a really nice Holiday Inn express! The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and my room was pristine! If I am ever back in this area, I will definitely stay here

Stayed here one night and was so impressed with the hotel. All the staff members are exceptional. The room was really nice and the beds were comfortable. I am so happy about my stay and want to thank the staff for their excellent service.

The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast set up was great and Henrietta the breakfast attendant was attentive and made sure things were not running low. She also made sure that everything was tidy!

The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff at the breakfast is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Ms. Retta at the breakfast was very sweet and took care of our needs above and beyond.

I must say, this is my preferred place to stay in the area. I've been to quite a few other hotels around town but recently I've just been sticking to this location. For the price, you can't get a better stay. The rooms are comfy and clean. The walls are thicker than most. The staff is great. Ms. Carol was there every morning on my way out to tell me good morning and to have a good day. If I saw her midday, she'd always greet me, wish me well and ask if I needed anything. It's rare that I find hotel staff so welcoming. Normally the staff just ignores you, unless you approach them. Pro tip: Ask to stay on a higher floor, if available. Tiny toddlers running around above you doing zoomies at 530 come in loud and clear. But, maybe you count it as blessing that you don't miss your alarm? Anyways, that's just a minor issue that can be avoided. I would definitely recommend this place and you'll see me there next time I'm in town!

Great location and wonderful breakfast! Incredible service. We stayed in the “Presidential Suite” which is enormous but a bit sparsely appointed but practical with a kitchen. I’d definitely come back for the breakfast!

Retta was an especially lovely, welcoming host for the breakfast! All of the hotel staff were pleasant and efficient.
